If you've checked email recently, there have likely been a number of notifications in your inbox from organizations you follow or do business with detailing changes to their privacy policies.
On Friday, May 25, 2018, a new European law takes place – the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The law gives the European Union (EU) the ability to hold businesses accountable for how they collect and manage personal user data. Organizations that operate within the EU must comply with the law.
Since we're a local cooperative that only operates in the Canby and Mt. Angel communities, the GDPR doesn't apply to us – but we want to reiterate our promise of keeping your personal information safe.
